African Women’s Handball Championship : Cameroon Faces Tunisia Today

The national women’s handball team will play against Tunisia today, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in their fifth Group B in the ongoing African Women’s Handball championship in Kinshasa, the DR Congo. During their fourth group game on Sunday December 1, 2024, the Lionesses suffered their first defeat in the continental competition after they were humbled 31-14 by the defending champions, Angola. Despite the defeat against Angola the girls of Serge Claude Magala, players have secured their ticket for the next stage of the competition. The Lionesses have recorded three wins out of four matches. They beat Guinea (32-26) in their first game. During their second game, they beat the DR Congo (25-23) and they beat Uganda (36-16) in their third game. 
With that performance, the Lionesses are through to the quarterfinals. The handball Lionesses will be playing for a win today to consolidate their second position in the group and a ticket to the next round of the competition. The encounter against Angola served as an opportunity for the Cameroonians to assess their performance ahead of the knockout stages of the competition. Coach Serge Magala and the players are preparing hard for today’s match. Tunisia are fourth in Group B with three points. Out of four matches played, Tunisia have won one, draw one and lost two matches. The team is equally preparing and will be out for a victory today in order to improve on the situation. That will not be a threat to the Lionesses of Cameroon who are three points away.
