International Relations : Ethiopian Ambassador Officially Takes Office

Shitaye Minale Tizazu presented her accreditation documents to the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella yesterday December 11, 2024.
The newly designated Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Cameroon, Shitaye Minale Tizazu, with residence in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, has presented her accreditation documents to the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella. This was during an audience the latter granted the former on December 11, 2024 at the Ministry of External Relations. The two personalities discussed intensification of cooperation ties between the Cameroon and Ethiopia.
Ambassador Shitaye Minale Tizazu is a holder of a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, from the Addis Ababa University and a Bachelor of Arts in Pedagogical Science from the Bahirdar University, all in Ethiopia. The Head of Mission has in-depth knowledge on legislative affairs as prior to her appointment as Ambassador, she was Deputy Speaker of the House of People’s Representative of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. She held the aforementioned position between 2005 and 2021 and led parliamentary sessions, standing committees of the Parliament, addressed issues raised by the constituency and listened to the complaints of the public and looked for solutions. She was a member of Parliament of his country (without any additional position) from 2000 to 2005.
From 2011 to 2021, she was a member of the Pan African Parliament in Johannesburg, South Africa. For five years (2015-2020), the now Ambassador of Ethiopia to Cameroon served as member of the Monetary and Finance Committee of the aforementioned parliament. Shitaye Minale Tizazu has equally bee...
