The west regional side beat AS Fortuna of Mfou 1-0 during a delayed day six match that took place at the Yaounde Omnisports Annex Stadium 1 yesterday January 5, 2025. Supporters from Yaounde and elsewhere came out in their numbers to cheer the teams. It was an exciting encounter that kept fans in suspense as they watched the teams play. Stade Renard began the game well and dominated the encounter right from the start, but they lost several opportunities. A.S. Fortuna of Mfou fought back and equally had some openings, but the squandered them. The two sides put up remarkable performances, but no side was able to score after 45 minutes of play. Both teams separated at half time on a 0-0 score margin. 
On resumption, A.S. Fortuna came up stronger putting pressure upfront, but they faced strong resistance from the solid defence wall of Stade Renard. The visitors had more chances at goal although most of their shots went off target. The stalemate was broken at the 80th minute when Stade Renard opened scores at the 80th minute through penalty taken by Alexis Asoh Ako. A glaring opportunity came for A.S. Fortuna to equalize shortly after, but they lost it. Replacements by the coaches to bring fresh blood to the teams did not help much. All efforts by AS Fortuna to equalize were in vain. Stade Renard carried the day beating AS Fortuna 1-0. 
The coach of AS Fortuna, Madoshe Ngaba said his boys lost the match because; they missed scoring at goal which is their main problem. He said Stade Renard is a good team and caused a lot of problems for them. He said his players will continue to work hard...
