Cameroon-Japan Cooperation : Priority Areas For 2025 Outlined

This was during an audience Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute accorded the Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon Minami Kentaro yesterday January 9, 2025.

Cooperation ties between Cameroon and Japan have been reviewed at the Star Building with the newly designated Ambassador highlighting priority areas during his tenure. He was granted an audience yesterday January 9, 2025 by the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute. He outlined four main areas of cooperation, and reiterated his country’s determination to continue supporting the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions. It was the first meeting of the Japanese Ambassador with the Prime Minister, after the presentation of the advance copies of his Lettres of Credence to the Minister of External Relations on December 5, 2024. 
In his declaration to the press, Ambassador Minami Kentaro said they discussed many aspects of collaboration between the two countries. “We talked about existing and future projects. We have four very important priority areas for our cooperation. Firstly, food security with agriculture and fisheries; and secondly infrastructure development. Thirdly is the promotion and assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises. Finally, there's the protection of nature and the environment,” he highlighted.
