Sports Development : Japan To Partner With Cameroon

The Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, Minami Kentaro, paid a courtesy visit to the CNOSC on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The government of Japan is steadfast in the development of judo and gymnastics in Cameroon. It is in this light that the Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, Minami Kentaro, paid a courtesy visit to the President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, Colonel Kalkaba Malbmoum, at the headquarters of the institution in Nkol Eton Yaounde on Monday, March 10, 2025. Kalkaba Malboum and Minami Kentaro discussed on the development of the sports disciplines and other areas of sports cooperation between Japan and Cameroon.
Talking to journalists, the diplomat said Japan has good cooperation with Cameroon in the domain of sports. For instance, three years ago Japan donated a dojo to Cameroon. He said he discussed with the President of the CNOSC on how to better develop sports cooperation between Cameroon and Japan.
The President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee said the support from the Japanese government will help Cameroonian athletes to better prepare for the 2028 Olympic Games that will take place in Los Angeles.
