Cameroon’s Monique Akoa Makani, a standout player for Charnay Basket Bourgogne Sud (CBBS) in France, is set to embark on a remarkable journey, transitioning from a beloved local figure to a potential WNBA star. The player, who has spent three seasons in Charnay, has been invited to a training camp with Phoenix Mercury, one of the 13 franchises in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Considered by many to be the revelation of the season, her exceptional performance has caught the attention of the Arizona-based team.
