Cameroon’s Diplomacy: Magazine Highlights Salient Points

The latest edition of the publication of the Ministry of External Relations contains major actions undertaken by officials in strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.

Amost recent bilingual information journal of the Ministry of External Relations which documents activities carried out by officials in promoting the diplomatic image of Cameroon at the international scene is available. The 116-page document generally highlights the solidarity amongst officials in enhancing the country’s diplomacy and progress attained within bilateral and multilateral partners. Through the pages of the publication, the Ministry of External Relations reiterates its core mandate to contributing to the consolidation of peace, deploying a proactive and inclusive foreign policy, global attachment and accelerating national fruition. The magazine is divided into four main sections; events, reflections, international and analysis. The event column presents the official receptions, exhibitions, conferences and public engagements by Heads of Mission in reaffirming both the State’s proximity to its nationals abroad and Cameroon’s image as a stable, united, diverse and forward-looking nation on the international scene. The international column pays tribute to compatriots residing abroad, several of whom now hold prominent positions within leading global institutions. Persistent tragedy of irregular migration is addressed with due gravity in the reflections column, while strengthened cooperation with bilateral countries across multiple sectors as a means of boosting mutually beneficial ties grounded in trust, dialogue and complementarily, is handled in the analysis column. Texts are accompanied by picture illustrations, taking the reader’s mind to the event especially as concerns international ceremonies in which the country participated.
