2025 West African Para Games : Cameroon Wins Four Medals

The multisports event was held from November 28 to December 3, 2025, in Abeokuta, Nigeria.

The first edition of the West African Para Games took place in Abeokuta, Nigeria, over six days from November 28 to December 3, 2025. During the Para Games, several disciplines were represented, including table tennis, para powerlifting, para badminton, wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, shooting, and football, among others.
Out of the nine countries that participated in this inaugural edition of the West African Paralympic Games, Cameroon finished fifth with a total of four medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Throughout the competition, Cameroon showcased notable talents, particularly in para shooting and in the national amputee football team. Despite arriving and registering on the same day as the para shooting competition, with only a few minutes to practice, Cameroon's shooters succeeded in winning two silver medals.
