Chantal Biya Foundation: CSPH Women Support Sick Children

The Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilization Fund Women Association made the gesture of love to 30 children afflicted by cancer, yesterday March 3, 2026.

The paediatric hematooncology unit at the Mother and Child Centre of the Chantal Biya Foundation has been bestowed with a generous donation aimed at supporting children battling cancer and their families. This benevolent contribution, presented by the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilization Fund (HPSF) Women Association, comprises a sum exceeding FCFA 2 million, accompanied by an assortment of vital medical supplies. This gesture forms part of the commemorative activities to mark the 41st edition of International Women's Day by the women of HPSF. During the solemn ceremony, which put the women of HPSF in direct contact with children afflicted with cancer, the Association’s President Myriam Ngono Ngono stated that the HPSF management team is out to demonstrate solidarity, love, and support to these children and their families, assuring them they are not alone in their struggle. “We understand the challenges they face, and by standing alongside them, we hope to bring them some comfort,” she emphasised. Myriam Ngono Ngono revealed that the funds raised will assist needy parents in purchasing medication, given the exorbitant costs associated with cancer treatment. For some, she noted, it is a daily struggle to make ends meet, and the support from HPSF women will ensure these children receive the necessary care.
