Cameroon International Film Festival: Celebrating A Decade of Industry Strides

Various workshops such as directing, screenwriting, cinematography, film business, digital marketing, and film distribution have been programmed.

Local film enthusiasts and international guests have gathered in Buea as celebrations kicked off to mark the 10th edition of the Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF). Opened on Monday April 20, 2026, at the Buea Mountain Hotel, the event will drop curtains on Saturday April 25, 2026. The cinema show was opened by the Divisional Officer for Buea, Abba Abdouraman in the presence of several film actors, producers and directors. The Director of Cinematography in the Ministry of Arts and Culture, Prof. Fai Donatus, called on other stakeholders of the entertainment industry to come on board in order to give the event the needed push. An anniversary cake was cut to pave the way for the jubilee. The film festival opened with the screening of a film titled “Blood Tyre’’, directed by Maksim Brius. The 10th edition of CAMIFF has nominees such as “Malgre Tout” by Enah Johnscott and TV series “Conspiration.” CAMIFF prime objective is to market Cameroon films and cinema to the world. Local actors at the event includes Mbeng Lilian, Godizs Fongwa, Prisma James and Mavis Ann. The promoter of the film festival, Prince Agbor Gilbert Ebot, indicated that the event will feature red carpet ceremonies, networking sessions, and interactions with leaders in the entertainment industry.
