GCE 2026: Hitch-free Resumption In Buea

The suspended Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (CGCE) resumed yesterday, June 22, 2026, throughout the national territory. At 8 am, Ordinary Level candidates wrote Physics I and at 1 pm they wrote Physics II. Those at the Advanced Level took Physics II, Geography II in the morning and then Geography III in the afternoon. In Buea, some Ordinary Level candidates emerged from their writing halls at Bilingual Grammar School Molyko Buea with a note of satisfaction after writing Physics I. Esua Gracious of Saint Therese International Comprehensive College said the paper was not difficult as she had thought. All what she prepared came and she is hoping that her remaining papers should be good. Shey Mildred of Bilingual Grammar School Molyko Buea writing 11 subjects indicated that she wrote with ease as she was familiar with all the questions. Before the suspension came into effect, she had written three subjects. She thinks the suspension period was to her advantage as it gave her enough time to revise. She is hoping to complete the examination smoothly. Even as Ebri Mary of Saint Sylvester International College Molyko wrote her first paper with ease, she thinks the suspension mounted a lot of pressure on them. What they had read, they had to go back to it over and over which she said was strenuous. Her fear is that many candidates already have their minds into holidays now. The Chief of Centre of Bilingual Grammar School Molyko, Lyonga Cecilia Limunga, said the examination resumed in total serenity as candidates came on time.
