Littoral en Forme: Douala III Unveils Recreational Facilities

T he July edition of the monthly sports walk, Littoral en Forme, took place on Saturday, July 25, attracting participants from across the Littoral Region. This month’s event was hosted by the Douala III Council, which seized the opportunity to unveil its newly de­ veloped recreational complex, Ga­ mesarena237, located at Nkolm­ bong in the Douala III municipality. The modern facility, now open to the public, served as the finishing point of the sports walk after par­ ticipants trekked from Total Nkolm­ bong to Japoma and back. Upon arrival, they discovered a wide range of recreational amenities, in­ cluding children’s playgrounds, a volleyball court, a football pitch, a swimming pool, tennis courts and several other leisure facilities. The event offered residents an oppor­ tunity to explore the new infra­ structure designed to promote sports, recreation and healthy li­ ving. Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor of the Douala III Council, Va­ lentin Epoupa Bossambo, said the sports walk was an ideal platform to showcase the council’s invest­ ment in recreational infrastructure.
