Rev.Fr.Giles Ngwa Forteh : Silver Jubilee of Faithful Ministry

Yaounde VI (Mfoundi) - The former Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Anglophone Parish, Simbock, has said he will remain faithful and honoured by the love and gra­ titude shown to him since he entered the priesthood. He has pledged to continue proclaiming the Word of God and helping parishioners and the community at large embrace the Lord's grace. The 9 a.m. mass was celebrated in the presence of fellow priests, religious sisters, parishioners and personalities including the Minister, Deputy Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Paul Elung Che, and the Secretary General of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multi­ culturalism, Dr. Chi Asafor. Fr. Giles, who served as Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Anglophone Parish for 14 years after celebrating his first Mass there in July 2007, preached on love, urging Christians to seek God's grace to love one another faithfully. "The Lord gave me the vocation and the grace to serve this parish for 14 years. I have no regrets, my heart is filled with gratitude for God's people, who have remained believing, united and committed to His work," he said.
