Livestock, Animal Industry: Some 166 New Experts To Boost Sector

New graduates from the National Centre for Zootechnical and Veterinary Training (CNFZN) of Jakiri in Bui Division of the North West Region are getting into the field to help boost food safety and food security thereby promoting the policy of import substitution through the skills acquired in school. The 53rd batch of graduates from the school took their oath during the graduation ceremony in Bamenda on August 28, 2026. The graduating batch baptized, “ Batch of reawakening” is comprised of at total of 166 students. Among them are 23 Agro-pastoral advisers, 75 Veterinary Nurses and 68 livestock technicians. The Secretary General at the North West Regional Governor’s Office, Saidouna Ali who presided at the graduation ceremony on behalf of Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique enjoined the gra­ duates to reawaken abandoned farms. He asked them not to sleep after graduation but to go to all the nooks and crannies of the region. “ Let the farmers feel your presence.
