Child Wellbeing: Nsoba Women Are Concerned

G overnor Awa Fonka Augustine, has regretted why, elites of NSO fondom, did not work hard towards setting up a confidence boosting mea­ sures in protecting their cultural heritage and their Fon, Alhaj Sehm Mbinglo 1, when the crisis erupted. He said as pa­ rents the elites of Nso clan where able to marshal sufficient will to effect pro­ tection on the Fon who has spent 10 years living out of the royal palace with his family. Awa Fonka, was speaking in Bafoussam, on, 10, October, 2026, during the NSOBA all women conference attended, by sons and daughters of Nso from home and diaspora. He regretted that those mis­ guided youths who picked up arms against the society were sons and daughters of these elites, who had the capacities to play fully their roles in the promotion of peace, security and stability in the area at that moment to protected their leader and tradition, further regretting that Bui division suf­ fered the heavier losses in the socio- political crisis. He said at the moment, there was need to create viable alter­ native development projects for the young people displaced, and thanked the NSOBA women for the initiative to open an empowerment center for young girls. For her part, the secretary of state for Basic education and daughter of the soul, Dr. Vivian Asheri Kilo, appreciated the efforts of the NSOBA women for the creation of a humanitarian fund drive to finance and promote the well­ being of the girl child in Bui, which in­ clude opening an empowerment center for vocational training, and hoped the women commitment will be respected ,binding and implemented.
