The amount was given to five schools from Douala II Council area that did well in national examinations in 2016.
Many are the challenges that schools face, such as insufficient stationery, benches and teachers. With this in view, the Douala II Council, with government support, on September 3, 2016, offered prizes to five government and private primary schools that did well in the First School Leaving Certificate and CEP examinations in the 2015/2016 academic year.
