International Cycling Tour of Cameroon: Presentation Of Teams Today

It is that period of the year when cycling takes centre stage in Cameroon. In effect, the 22nd edition of the International Cycling Tour of Cameroon runs from today, June 2, to June 14, 2026, across the nation. Today, June 2, 2026, as tradition will have it, the presentation of teams’ ceremony takes place at the Maroua ceremonial ground. The very important event, which will officially launch this year’s Tour, is expected to be chaired by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. Preparations are rife in Maroua for this event, with stakeholders dotting their i’s and crossing their t’s, knowing that the manner in which the Tour starts could determine its success or failure. The Mayor of the Maroua City Council alongside other stakeholders held a last preparatory meeting yesterday June 1, 2026 to this effect. Teams have been arriving in the country since over the weekend.
