2026 GCE Examinations: Remaining Papers Postponed By Two Weeks

The Ministry of Secondary Education has officially postponedthe remaining papers of the2026 Cameroon General Certificateof Education, GCE, examination session by two weeks. Papers originallyscheduled to be written betweenMonday, June 8 and Thursday, June18, 2026, will now be administeredfrom Monday, June 22 to Thursday,July 2, 2026. The decision cameafter a severe security breach sawconfidential examination questionsleaked and widely circulated acrosssocial media and electronic platforms. The ministry clarified that originaltime-slots remain unchanged. Furthermore, students sitting the Technical and Vocational Education Examinations (TVEE) can breathe a sighof relief, as the ministry confirmedTVEE exams are not affected by thisrescheduling. According to an official press releaseissued on June 6, 2026, by the Minister of Secondary Education, NalovaLyonga, the government intervenedfollowing a critical working sessionwith the Head of the Transition Management Team of the GCE Board.During this meeting, the Board confirmed that examination materials hadbeen compromised online.
