Visit of Archbishop of Canterbury: Her Grace Sarah Mullally Warmly Welcomed

T he Archbishop of Canterbury and Head of the Anglican Com­ munity, the Right Honourable Sarah Mullaly is on a five-day working visit in Cameroon. She arrived the country on July 31, 2026 and was welcomed upon arrival at the Yaounde- Nsimalen International Airport by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji on behalf of the Pre­ sident of the Republic. He was ac­ companied by the British High Com­ missioner to Cameroon, Matt Woods and the Anglican Bishop of Cameroon, Bishop Dibo Thomas-Babington Elango. After a warm welcome handshake from the personalities, the Archbishop of Canterbury was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a warm wel­ come from a little girl name Lucy Ezekwere, a class one pupil of the Amazing Grace School of Nkomkana. “We the Anglican Diocese of Cameroon welcome the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Sarah Mullally. We are blessed and overjoyed to have you visit our beautiful country. May God bless you. We love you,” said the girl. The Archbishop blessed her, taking the flowers in smiles. The Minister then let her to the VIP lounge where they had brief ex­ changes on religion and culture, with Cameroon’s diversity being presented to her.
