North West: More ACEFA Cheques To Enhance Agricultural Productivity
Bamenda (Mezam) -The Programme for the Improvement of Competiveness of Family agro pastoral farms (ACEFA), continues to make its mark in the North West region with cheques that inspire hope in agricultural productivity.
This time around, on June 5th, 2018 farmer organizations from Mezam, Bui, Momo and Donga Mantung Divisions jumped for joy with cheques worth Fcfa 210.1.053 to boost productivity, transform and enhance the agricultural sector.
Distributing the cheques to 61 beneficiary farmers in Bamenda, the National Coordinator of ACEFA, Bouba Moumini ,encouraged them on what they should do in order not to breach their own part of the contract.
He equally highlighted the role of agriculture in the growth of the Cameroonian economy adding that the funding is expected to encourage production to handle the nation’s food shortage problems and give Cameroonians opportunities for employment in large scale production activities.
He also appreciated the role of the North West farmers since the inception of the program in the region. The farmers according to the National Coordinator have stood tall in the execution of their projects, reason why others still have the opportunity to benefit from the ACEFA Programme.
