Cameroon-Egypt Relations : Parties Exchange Diplomatic Views

This was during an audience granted the Egyptian Ambassador by the Minister of External Relations on January 15, 2019.
External Relations Minister, Lejeune Mbella Mbella in an audience accorded the Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon, Medhat Kamal El-Meligy on January 15, 2019 exchanged diplomatic views with regards to the upcoming African Union meeting to be chaired by Egypt. Egypt was unanimously elected this year’s chair of the African Union (AU) during the AU summit in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa last year. Minister Mbella Mbella and Ambassador Medhat Kamal El-Meligy therefore shared opinions on how best to make the event a success for the continent.
Speaking to journalists after the event, the Egyptian diplomat said Egypt will be presiding over the African Union that is holding in a couple of weeks and was in the Ministry of External Relations to seek the opinion of Cameroon given the strong relations existing between both countries.
