Ministry of External Relations : La Francophonie SG Discusses Cooperation

The Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella on May 24, received the Secretary General of the Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), Louise Mushikiwabo, in audience as she paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of External Relations. The Rwandan senior official was visiting Cameroon for the first time since her election as Scribe of La Francophonie at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya. She was accompanied to the audience by her Director of Cabinet and other members of her delegation, whom she moved around with in the course of her 48-hour official visit in Cameroon.   
During the over one hour audience with the Minister of External Relations, discussions centered on Cameroon-La Francophone relations, promoting good governance and other topics of national and international interest.  Talks were also held on the relations between Cameroon and La Francophonie with the objective of improving domains of cooperation.
