Italian Investors Prospect in Cameroon

Prime Minister Chief Joseph Dion Ngute had talks with the delegation members who showed interest in the health, energy and agricultural sectors

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Joseph Dion Ngute on November 11, 2019 had discussions with a 14-member Italian business delegation led by the Honorary Consul of Cameroon to Milan, Nkolo Lekoua Esther. The business delegation that will be in Cameroon from November 11- 15, 2019, is accompanied by the Cooperation Association Italia-Cameroon (ASICA), composed of members of the Cameroonian Diaspora and Italians, formed on the morrow of President Paul Biya’s official visit to Italy. President Biya, the Secretary General of ASICA, Simon Pierre Ntomb said, discussed with his Italian counterpart on securing the Italian investments in Cameroon. Mr Simon Pierre Ntomb disclosed to the press after the discussions in the Star Building that within three years, the association worked with the support of Cameroon’s Embassy in Rome and Consulate in Milan on the initiative to promote Cameroon. He said the business delegation that is on the current prospection mission in Cameroon is the first concrete results of the work of the association.

The investors, Simon Pierre Ntomb said, are interested in investing in the energy, potable water supply, health, agriculture projects and other projects are still at the level of feasibility studies.
