Littoral Targets 121,000 People

People could be spotted in some vaccination centers in the Littoral region on July 7, 2021. The health personnel in the region have been mobilized to ensure a successful campaign that will run from the 7-11 of July in some 32 accredited vaccination centers in the entire region. The vaccine which is targeting people above 18 years who meet the criteria is free of charge and will go a long way to prevent against the deadly Covid-19. The region recently received 83,178 dosage of the Covid-19 vaccine.
According to the Regional Coordinator of the expanded programme of immunization for Littoral, Dr Ewane Leonard, they are targeting some 121,000 people during the five day campaign. He said before now only health personnel were targeted but due to the demand from the population the Minister of Public Health decided to extend to everybody above 18. He added that away from the 32 accredited Covid-19 vaccination centers, the Douala General Hospital, Laquintinie, the military hospital, the international vaccination center and the center for respiratory disease in Bonanjo will also be giving out the vaccine. “We also have mobile teams that will move into the communities to sensitize the population on the va...
