MINEPIA : FCFA 45.532 Billion To Boost Livestock Production

The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr Taiga on November 30, 2021 defended the draft budgetary allocation of the Ministry for the 2022 financial year.
The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr Taiga on November 30, 2021 in the Committee on Finance and Budget of the National Assembly requested the commissioners to endorse the draft budgetary allocation of FCFA 45.532 billion the Ministry intends to use for the 2022 financial year. He explained that FCFA 29.513 billion is planned to be used as the capital expenditure, representing 64.82 per cent and FCFA 16.019 billion will serve as the current expenditure.
As the priority programmes to be funded with the requested budget, the Minister cited two major programmes. He said that concerning the programme on Animal Production and Industries Development, the Ministry intends to increase the supply of milk and dairy products. Under the programme on Fisheries Production Development, Dr Taiga said the budget will be used to carry out many activities.
