National Basketball Championship : Bafoussam Joins The Trend

The headquarters of the West Region will host the third grouping of the competition this weekend.
It will be an exciting weekend for basketball lovers in the West Region and its environs. The third playing day of the senior men’s and women’s national basketball championship will take place at Multisport Complex of the Bafoussam City Council this weekend. Ahead of the competition organisers are leaving no stone unturned in order to ensure a hitch-free event. The competition will bring together clubs from across the country. The Bafoussam grouping will be the last but one for the season with two days of competition. The last grouping for the 2022 season has been scheduled for Douala. At the end of the fourth grouping, the teams qualified for the final four tournament for the men’s and women’s categories will be known.
The President of the Centre Regional Basketball League, Yves Tsala said mid-way into the national championship, FAP Basketball Club of Yaounde and Le Nkam are topping with five matches and five victories each. The two first teams will be absent in the Bafoussam meeting. They will face each other during the last grouping. BEAC is third on the classification table and will have two tough games in Bafoussam. Yves Tsala explained that BEAC will face Ornyx Yaounde which is team that has recently been reconstructed but has potential players. On Sunday BEAC will play against Ecole de Basketball which will be a difficult game as well since Ecole de Brasseries is the fourth on the classification table and they stand better chances of qualifying...
