Cameroon-UNESCO : Regional Director Says Goodbye

Khaled Salah was accorded a farewell audience by Minister Mbella Mbella on April 20, 2022.
The outgoing Regional Director for Central Africa of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Khaled Salah has said his goodbye to the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella after four years of diplomatic stay in Cameroon. He was received in audience on April 20, 2022, a platform which both personalities used to review cooperation ties and achievements under his tenure in Cameroon.
Khaled Salad told the press after his audience with the Minister that during his four-year mandate in Cameroon, UNESCO has witnessed excellent collaboration and partnership with the government. “We had a perfect collaboration and exceptional partnership between UNESCO and the government of Cameroon in all the five pillars of UNESCO’s mandate, be it in education, culture, science, information and communication, with major programmes realised together,” he stated.
In education, the Regional Director mentioned the putting in place of a distance learning platform, the production of electronic equipment with a digital system on the management of schools, trainings done in the domain of education to make Cameroon a reference in the sub region, facilitating access to education through community radios, another programme he said is being solicited by other countries, the fight against fake news and hate speech, and combating the incitation of violence by the use of the social media.
