May 20th Celebrations in South Africa : Cameroonian High Commissioner Preaches Oneness

Solomon Azoh-Mbi urged Cameroonians living in South Africa to embrace only values that builds and binds citizens together in unity and strength.

Cameroon’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Solomon Azoh-Mbi while commemorating the country’s National Day, celebrated every May 20th, has encouraged Cameroonians resident in South Africa to promote exemplary behaviour of patriotism. He called on Cameroonians to reflect the best of Cameroon in South Africa and the rest of the world. “Together, let us write a new narrative for our country in South Africa, a nation at peace with itself, a nation marching on with confidence in spite of many challenges with courage despite contradictions, and with concord notwithstanding conflicting conceptions,” he urged. The High Commissioner further added that Cameroonians need to really behind the country’s leaders to defeat what he termed the dreadful demons of disunity, division and destruction that are threatening and undermining peace built over the last 50 years.
Going by the Cameroonian head of diplomatic mission in South Africa, Cameroonians should work at making the nation that proverbial “shining city on the hill,” a truly peaceful, progressive and prosperous country in Africa and the world. “You are the voice of Cameroon in the world. That voice must be heard with clarity and not with confusion; that voice must be the voice of hope and not the voice of hopelessness...
