As the countdown to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) narrows down, Cameroonian football lovers may just have their heads calm as they see their professional players shine abroad. In the attack line, Nchout Njoya Ajara has been assuring since she joined Italian side, Inter Milan. Her side emerged fifth in the Serie A championship this season with Lioness giving in her best even though some of her fans may have expected more. She scored seven goals with several decisive passes. Still in the attack, Cameroon’s team captain, Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene is fruitful with Russian giants, CSKA Moscow. She recently celebrated her 100th appearance for the club this season and her experience will be handy for the Lionesses.
In the midfield, Jeannette Grace Ngock Yango, is a professional that Cameroon may count on given her performance in the ongoing French division 1 championship.
