The International Relations Institute of Cameroon will tomorrow June 28, 2022 begin the organisation of a series of events to commemorate its fiftieth anniversary.
The International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC); located at the Obili neigbourhood in Yaounde is 50 years old. The educational establishment which is one of the five institutions of the University of Yaounde II, has no doubt over the years written its name in the schools of training in the domains of international relations and diplomacy. With a beautiful and quiet campus, the citadel of learning has produced diplomats of international repute and experts in international relations and other related fields.
Created in 1971, IRIC has extended its field of training and research programmes to other fields in international relations such as international banking, currency and finance, international disputes, international communication and public action, regional integration and management of community institutions and international marketing sectors. Over the years, this school has been able to extend its influence beyond Cameroon and even the Central African sub-region. The institution is therefore celebrating its jubilee through the organisation of several week-long activities from June 28, 2022 to July 1, 2022, under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya. Several Cameroonian and foreign personalities, including diplomats and former Directors of the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon, will travel to Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon for the occasion.
