Holiday Championship Paul Edang : Competition Launched In Yaounde

The Esono City Stadium in Nsimeyong in the Yaounde III Subdivision was the venue of the launch of the first edition of the holiday championship christened Paul Edang on Saturday July 17, 2022 on the theme: “Living together”. Organised by the Yaounde III Municipality, the competition brings together teams from the subdivision. The high point of the day was the opening match between the Armed Forces and Police team called Honneur et Fidelité and Moto Taxi Drivers in the municipality. The Moto Taxi drivers edged Honuer et Fidelité 2-0 in an exciting encounter that kept fans on their feet cheering their teams. Prior to the encounter fans from the subdivision thronged the stadium to watch the game. A total of 4000 fans watched the encounter. The moto taxi drivers’ team carried the day beating Honeur et Fidelité 2-0. Speaking to journalists, the Obobogo CPDM Sub Section President, Paul Edang expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout of the public and with the quality of the game.
