Improving Fish Production : MIDEPECAM Holds Board Meeting

The meeting was resided at by the Minister of Fisheries and animal industries Dr. Taiga.
Board members of the Artisanal Maritime Fisheries Development Authority known by its French acronym as MIDEPECAM have adopted the 2021 accounts and activity plan. This was during a board meeting that took place on August 4, 2022 in Douala. The meeting, that was presided at by the board chair, Minister of Livestock Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr. Taiga, was dedicated to the examination and the adoption of the plan of action for 2021. As well as looking into the 2022 budget which is on course.
During the meeting, the board chair, Minister Taiga, urged all the members to work for the development of the fisheries sector. He said the board meeting which will enable them to evaluate the work done so far was also an opportunity for them to deliberate on the way forward.
The in camera board meeting also gave the members the leeway to examine land issues related to MIDEPECAM.
