Rugby Africa Women’s Cup Qualifiers : Preparations Reach High Gear

The second evaluation match between the national women’s Rugby XV team and the U20 men’s Rugby XV team took place on Saturday October 8, 2022 in Akono.
Less than one month to the kick off of the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup qualifiers that will take place in Yaounde from November 2 to 13, 2022, preparations have reached high gear in the country. The national Women’s Rugby XV team is training hard in their hideout in Akono ahead of the competition. The players and the head coach Alfred Daniel Bisso are working out winning strategies in order to ensure an honourable performance in the competition.
The second evaluation match between the national women’s Rugby XV team and the U20 men’s Rugby XV team took place on Saturday October 8, 2022 in the campus of Collège Stoll in Akono. The encounter aimed at evaluating the level of the players after two weeks of training. The rugby Lionesses lost to the U20 Lions 14-26 in a grueling encounter. The match marked the end of the two-weeks training session.
During training, the players learnt new techniques which enabled them to improve on their skills.
