Senate : Settlement, Two Other Bills Communicated

The President of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji first of all presided at the Chairmen’s Conference during which members declared admissible the three bills received from the President of the Republic, Paul Biya. After this, the Senate President presided at the plenary sitting in the House Chamber in which he communicated the bills. This was in the presence of the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Relations with Parliament, Wakata Bolvine.
One of the bills is the Settlement Bill of the Republic of Cameroon for the 2021 Financial Year. The bill was forwarded to the Committee on Finance and the Budget and will be defended at the appropriate time by the Minister of Finance. The bill relates to the 2021 Finance law that provided for a State budget balanced in revenue and expenditure at FCFA 5 480.4 billion ( FCFA 5 235.2 billion for the general budget and FCFA 245.2 billion for Special Appropriation Accounts). It therefore explains the implementation contexts of the budget and effectively how the budget was implemented.
There is also the bill to authorise the President of the Republic to ratify the General Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Cameroon and the  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed in Yaounde on 10 November 2021. The bill was forwarded to the Foreign Affairs Committee where it will be defended by the Minister of External Relations.
