Elite One : APEJES Floors Fortuna

APEJES of Mfou has made a step forward in the ongoing Elite One championship.  The club from Mfou beat AS Fortuna of Yaounde 4-2 in one of the day seven matches in Group B that took place at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium yesterday November 16, 2022. It was a thrilling encounter that kept fans on their feet shouting and cheering their teams. 
The match began as planned with both teams determined to win. AS Fortuna began well dominating the first minutes of the game with a good play style that enabled them open scores.  APEJES who were still studying the opponents put up a strong fight and leveled scores. AS Fortuna continued with their control of the game and increased scores but their domination was not for long as APEJES equalised shortly after. Both teams separated at half time on a 2-2 score margin. On resumption, AS APEJES came up stronger creating problems in the defence of AS Fortuna. AS Fortuna equally had good chances but they squandered them. The coaches of the two teams made some replacements but that did not help much. APEJES however was more technical and were able to score two additional goals. At stoppage time the score line was 4-2 in favour of APEJES of Mfou.
