Reconstructing, Developing Crisis-hit Regions : National Coordinators, Deputies Commissioned

The National Coordinators and their Deputies of the special reconstruction programmes for the affected North West, South West and Far North Regions of the country, appointed on November 4,2022 by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute have been officially taken up duties. They were installed on December 13, 2022 by the Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office, Séraphin Malgoire Fouda on behalf of the Prime Minister. The installed personalities include the National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions, Tamanjon Motuba Obase, and his Deputy, Njong Donatus, the National Coordinator of the Special Programme for the Reconstruction and Development of the Far North Region, Alhadji Magra Massaou, and his Deputy, Madjadoumbaye Jérémie.
Installing the personalities, the Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office said the process is a continuation of numerous actions taken by the Head of State within the framework of accelerating the reconstruction and development of the concerned regions. He noted that the objective is to put in place a capable framework to address security challenges as the Coordinators will act as an interface with the government to facilitate the implementation of the special programmes to the benefit of the population and the nation. While highlighting their missions, the Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office added that they have to embark on concertation with necessary stakeholders, sensitisation of the population and prioritise team work.  He noted that the Prime Minister, Head of Government assured the Coordinators of government’s availability in accompanying them in order to achieve desired results. “Now is the time to effectively start your activities,” Séraphin Malgoire Fouda told the newly installed officia...
