Chan Mascot : ‘Cobtan’ Algeria’s Shining Light

The talisman will be the face of the competition that will take place from January 13 to February 4, 2023 in Algeria.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the official mascot for the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship CHAN 2022. It is called “Cobtan”. The official ceremony to launch the competition’s symbol took place recently in Algiers. The mascot was launched one week to the kick off of the competition.
According to CAF and the Local Organising Committee “Cobtan” in Arabic and literally translated in English as captain will be the face of the competition that will take place from January 13 to February 4, 2023 in Algeria. Organisers say Cobtan the mascot will punctuate the course of the competition and will be present everywhere, especially in the four cities selected for the competition, notably Algiers, Constantine, Oran and Annaba.
