Women’s World Cup Play-offs : Last Bend For Cameroon

The Lionesses play Portugal today February 22, 2023 in the final quest for a third consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup participation.
A coveted place at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup will be at stake this Wednesday morning when Portugal and Cameroon go head-to-head at the Waikato Stadium, Hamilton, New Zealand within the framework of path A final of the Intercontinental Play-offs.
Portugal hope for history as victory in today’s play-off final would secure their maiden World Cup appearance. Cameroon are aiming to qualify for the global showpiece for the third consecutive time. But to be eligible to play Portugal that was top seed in this path, Cameroon had to beat Thailand 2-0 on Saturday February 18, 2023. Meanwhile Portugal goes into today’s game poised after a 5-0 convincing win over host New Zealand in a recent friendly.
