Handball : National Championship Kicks Off Mid-March

The national handball championship will kick off in the middle of March this year. This is one of the major resolutions of an extraordinary board meeting of the Cameroon Handball Federation (FECAHAND) that took place at the headquarters of the federation in Yaounde on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The meeting was presided at by the President of FECAHAND, Abba Oumate.  
During the meeting, members resolved to approve the project of activities as well as the financial report of the Olympiad, adopt the formula of the national handball championship as proposed by the executive bureau, acknowledge the partnership between the French Development Agency (AFD) and French Handball Federation to strengthen the development of handball in Cameroon, approve the strengthening of national teams through the integration of bi-nationals. Also, the members approved the amount of annual contributions of the federation accordingly; executive bureau members FCFA 250,000 per year, members of the board of administration FCFA 120, 000, members of the federation FCFA 100,000 per year, gave powers to the executive bureau to fix the conditions of creation of the divisional leagues in relation with independent electoral commission and their application.
