The National Communication Council Team was in Bamenda on March 3,2023 to sensitize Journalists.
As the nation prepares to witness the election of Senators, a team from the National Communication Council was in Bamenda on Friday 3,2023 to sensitise Journalists of the region on the effective and efficient ways of covering the entire electoral process.
A handbook for Journalists during elections was distributed to act as a reminder for the media men and women as they carry out their noble profession. The book highlights issues ranging from the responsibility of journalists during elections, direct involvement of Journalists in the campaign, role of community radios, regulatory airtime and informative programmes during elections. The team explained that the tour was very necessary bearing in mind the role of the Journalists in the society.
Speaking shortly after the exchange with media men and women, the President of the National Communication Council, Joseph Chebonkeng told and the press that the outing was very necessary given that the North West is highly political the stakes of elections are very high.
