Usurpation : Boy Faces Court In Yaounde

Jean Paul E has pleaded not guilty in front of the Yaounde Court of First Instance.

Jean Paul E, a boy in his mid 20s, was brought in front of the Yaounde Court of First Instance for questioning over the usurpation of title, lack of an Identity Card (ID), use of arm and a threat to the population.
During a court hearing on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in front of a presiding judge and an Advocate General for the Legal Department, the accused pleaded guilty for not possessing an ID and for simply threatening people, but not at gun point. He also pleaded not guilty for usurpation of the title of a soldier. Jean Paul also told the audience that he never threatened the population to the extent of wanting to kill some people. The presiding judge adjourned the case to enable the accused have time to prepare for his defence.
