South West : Electoral Materials In Place

Materials for the March 12, 2023 Senatorial election is already in the South West Region. They were received on March 1, 2023 in Buea and dispatched immediately to the various seats of all the six administrative Divisions where the election will be conducted. The materials are sealed in cartons, in conformity with electoral regulations and secrecy. 
Elections Cameroon’s Chief for the South West Region, Divine Mewanu, said the preparations for this year has been unperturbed. On March 1, 2023, his institution strengthened the capacity of the eight Regional Supervisory Commission members for the South West Region. Those to train local polling commission members were included. ELECAM South West staff made up of Divisional Branch Heads and service heads also had their skills and knowledge on the electoral process updated. The ELECAM Chief said all the personnel know what is expected of them on voting day.
