National Youth Council : NW Executive Urged To Be Peace Crusaders

A new team to pilot the affairs of the North West Regional Youth Council has officially been commissioned. The installation took place in Bamenda on March 10, 2023 under the supervision of the National Youth Council President Iyawa Fadimatou Ousmanou and North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique. While installing the new team, North West Governor saluted the strides made so far by the new team under the leadership of Mekom Samuel Taleh. Describing them as "Game Changers," Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique challenged the new team to be peace crusaders and make the region a land of honey void of violence.
Fadimatou Iyawa called on the new team to do exploits for the benefit of the youths because there are many opportunities for them. She however, called on the youths to massively support the new team. She reminded the youth of the mandate of the Youth Council which is to uphold moral, civic and nation building. She explained that the mandate is pegged on nine strategic goals ranging from peace building, national integration, social cohesion, education, training, wellbeing, sexual   and reproductive health, inclusion and governance. She added that they must fight against climate change, sustainable management of the environment amongst others. Fadimatou Iyawa encouraged the youth to move forward so as to open more doors for the Cameroon Youth Council.
