University Games : Ngaoundere Scouts For Sponsorship

Prior to the 23rd edition of the University Games to take place in the University of Ngaoundere from the 29 of April to the 6th of May 2023, the host University has been mobilising resources to ensure that the event gets the grandeur it deserves.  In effect, the Rector of the University of Ngaoundere Professor Uphie Chinje Melo was at the University of Douala on March 16, 2023 to scout for support and sponsorship not only from the University community but also from some companies in the economic city. It is estimated that the University games in Ngaoundere will run on a budget of FCFA 676,847,150 as such the university authorities have been looking for means to raise the amount and make the event a success. 
In her keynote address, Professor Uphie Chinje Melo promised a successful event and the best ever organized. She said they have been to the University of Yaounde and now Douala and will obviously move to other Universities to canvass for support and sponsorship. Coming three years after suspension due to the outbreak of the Covid-19, the University don said the 23rd edition of the University games will have some innovations including the introduction of the Beach Volley competition and also the introduction of the 3 by 3 basketball competition.
