National Assembly : General Committees In Place

Senior Deputy Speaker, Hilarion Etong, presided at the plenary sitting of March 29, 2023.
Various Committees of the National Assembly have been constituted. This was during a plenary sitting of March 29, 2023 chaired by the Senior Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Hilarion Etong, in the presence of the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Relations with the Assemblies, Bolvine Wakata. A total of nine Committees were put in place. The putting in place of Commissions at the National Assembly is in respect to the provisions of Article 21 and 22 of the Standing Orders of the House. Every political party represented at the National Assembly was considered in the putting in place of the nine Committees. A balanced regional representation was also taken into consideration and the list of the Committees were adopted in accordance with the provisions of Article 22(5) of the abovementioned Orders.
First to be constituted and adopted is the Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Justice Committee, which amongst other members has Cabral Libii of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN). Then came the Finance and Budget Committee which amongst other members counts Rosette Moutymbo espse Ayayi, Jean Jacques Zam of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) and Salemana Ahmadou Ali of the Front for the National Salvation of Cameroon (FSNC). At the Foreign Affairs Committee, there is Joshua Osih of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), Manjus Nestus and Laurentine Koa Mfenge, the eldest member of the House. Another Committee that was put in place is that of National Defence and Security, in which belongs one of the Deputy Speakers of the House, Mary Muyali Boya epse Meboka and Roger...
