Cameroon-Netherlands : Prospects On Enhancing Economic Cooperation

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on April 11, 2023 granted a farewell audience to the Netherlands Ambassador to Cameroon with residence in Cotonou, Benin, Catharina Geetruida Tjoelker-Kleve, who has come to the end of her diplomatic assignment in Cameroon. Strengthening economic ties between the two countries was discussed during the in-camera meeting at the Star Building. 
Ambassador Catharina Geetruida Tjoelker-Kleve noted that good economic relations exist between the two countries. “We carried out a trade mission last year with a lot of success and we discussed about some Dutch investors that will like to come to work on energy and other sectors. It was quite an interesting meeting with the Prime Minister because when you look back, you see how Cameroon and the Netherlands are bound together and are good friends at all times, she stated. 
Expressing the gratitude of the government for her warm collaboration with authorities in advancing the state of cooperation in the diplomatic, political and socio-economic fronts, the Prime Minister noted that Cameroon remains determined to diversifying diplomatic ties with the Netherlands for mutual benefits.
