Cameroon-China Relations : Minister, Ambassador Discuss Enhancing Ties

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella on April 28, 2023 granted an audience to the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yingwu. Both personalities reviewed cooperation ties between the two countries at the bilateral and multilateral levels. 
The Chinese Ambassador in his statement to the press said they agreed on reinforcing existing cooperation ties for the general interest of their respective citizens and for the future of the African continent. He added that External Relations Minister shared Cameroon’s view points on development, something he said he learned a lot from, especially the National Development Strategy. “Since the beginning of my career, I have been working mostly on the African continent and I will continue to work in this direction to strengthen China-Africa relations especially China and Cameroon. We also spoke about peace and the development of the continent and especially on youth empowerment,” he stated.
