Cameroon-Korea Relations : Parties Discuss Levelling Up Ties

Cameroon and Korea have exchanged views on strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. Supporting each other at the international scene also came under discussions during the audience the Secretary General at the Ministry of External Relations, Chinmoun Oumarou, granted on behalf of the Minister, to the Special Envoy of the Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Cheo Cheolkyu, on May 5, 2023. 
A statement by the Korean official notes that they held talks on enhancing cooperation ties in several sectors such as agriculture, industry, and the exchange of know-how. “Korea is ready to provide all our experiences and efforts to deepen and widen bilateral relations with Cameroon. We discussed how to level up our cooperation ties,” he stated. 
Other issues that came under scrutiny during the audience included the Korean-Africa Summit to be held in 2024 and the candidacy of Korea at the World Expo 2030.
