South West National Day : Preparations Ongoing

Top on the agenda of preparations during this year’s National Day celebration in the South West Region has been military match-past rehearsals. Through Limbe, Tiko, Kumba and Buea, different units of security services have been fine-tuning their match-past footsteps. At the various grounds, the Commanders correct errors and the exercise retaken to get perfection. Among those rehearsing is the Special Amphibious Battalion (BSA) Tiko. 
The preparation stage for 20 May 2023 celebration in the South West Region was set on April 18, 2023 by the South West Regional Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilai. All stakeholders of the region converged on his office for a preparatory meeting. On that day, 12 committees were formed among which are security, protocol, match-past, torchlight etc. Participants looked back to the event of last year and made proposals on how to better the event of 2023.
