National Day Celebration : North West Gives Enticing Foretaste

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education Mounouna Foutsou who officially launched civilian activities leading up to the celebration of the 51st edition of Cameroon's National Day in Bambili, Tubah Subdivision in the North West Region on May 12, 2023, is certainly expecting a memorable thrilling performance from the North West Region come D-Day May 20, 2023.
Indeed, thousands of enthusiastic people ranging from members of the elite, students, youths, traditional and religious authorities, political party officials and members, a cross-section of the population that also included vibrant motorcycle riders filled the stadium of the University of Bamenda in Bambili for the event.  Enthusiasm to promote the values of peace. national unity, stability, living together and development was showcased through the thrilling display of traditional dances representing all the seven Divisions of the North West Region, march past by students, National Youth Council and Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement political party. The symbiosis and unity of purpose between government and traditional authorities was further cemented through flags that Minister Mounouna Foutsou handed to some traditional rulers and the special gift of the custodians of the traditions to the Minister.  The University of Bamenda came to the fore as its Vice Chancellor Professor Theresia Nkuo Akenji presented the institution, prizes won during the 2023 University Games and the students demonstrated their multifaceted talents.

In the presence of prominent North West elite among them the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Audit Office, Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam, Minister in charge of Special Duties at the Presidency Ghogomu Paul Mingo, North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique , some parliamentarians, Minister Mounouna Foutsou delivered an enticing message.
